Five people ATVing on a trail.

ATVing

Ride Dirty in The Seven

Here, that means being deep into the heart of the Canadian Shield, where rugged terrain, endless forest, and remote wilderness make every ride feel like an expedition. This place is an ATV playground, with everything from tight, technical forest trails to wide-open powerline cuts and deep, muddy stretches that’ll test your skills—and your winch. Or, just cruise some of the best-maintained multi-use trails in the province. Here, the rides are long, the scenery is stunning, and the sense of freedom is unmatched.

So, what are you waiting for? Just fire up the machine, point the front wheels toward the horizon, and go—Northeastern Ontario is calling.

Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System (VMUTS)

This one’s legendary. Over 300 km of mixed terrain means you can pick your poison—fast and flowy, technical and rocky, or good old-fashioned mud. Bring fuel, bring snacks, and bring friends because you’ll be out here all day. Whether you're here to cruise or push your limits, VMUTS delivers.

More about VMUTS

West Nipissing ATV Club Trails

Big miles, big variety—this trail network runs from Shining Tree to Temagami, serving up everything from tight, technical runs to fast, open stretches. Bonus: the locals know how to ride and keep these trails in top shape.

Cochrane ATVing

Cochrane is an ATV rider’s dream—one of the most off-road-friendly towns in the north. Gas, food, staging, and lodging are all easy to access, and every street in town is open to ATVs, so hitting up local shops, restaurants, and attractions is a breeze. The riding here is next-level, with over 1,000 acres of private trails and endless Crown land to explore. Want a true adventure? The Gateway to the North loop takes you from Cochrane into Quebec, tearing through rail beds, logging roads, and deep bush trails—without ever doubling back.

Wasi Lake Trails

This one's got it all—twisty forest routes, rocky climbs, and deep water crossings, all just 40 minutes from North Bay. Ride through remote Crown land, where the only traffic jam is a moose on the trail.
